If you haven't seen Mini Mochi yet, don't delay – obviously it goes quickly.
And since someone had to make the sacrifice and knit a pair of socks with this stuff, I offered myself up.
My socks are finished and, if I do say so myself, they are gorgeous. The colors glow and they are yummy soft.
Now – as for knitting with this yarn – be careful! It can split. The good news is that it is tough – even when you catch it wrong and it splits, it doesn't break. I switched to duller points in order to minimize the splitting. I also don't know how this is going to wear on my feet – it seems awfully soft for hard wearing. But since it still seems to be summer, I'm not going to find out for a while.
I don't know if I'll make more socks out of Mini Mochi, but I'm looking forward to making other things – mittens and scarves – maybe a shawl. The colors just suck me in.
And maybe, just maybe, I'll have to check out the heavier weight Mochi.
