Celebrating Poland – our Stop on the Yarn Around the World Shop Hop

Standard

FirstshophopperssmallerWe are so excited to welcome all the Twin Cities Shop Hoppers this weekend.  These lovely young ladies are just the first four to grace our door!

And with the Hop comes our limited edition Shop Hop yarn: a 100% Bluefaced Leicester worsted weight wool, specially dyed to celebrate Poland.  Poland is Needlework Unlimited's stop on the Shop Hop's Yarn "Around the World in 4 Days", and our yarn represents the vibrant and colorful Polish culture.  Karen chose Poland because her family came from Poland – and her cousin's Polish wedding is the inspiration for the colors of our special yarn!

Our luxurious yarn is spun from the wool of the Bluefaced Leicester, sheep that are specially bred to produce beautiful fiber.  Fine wool and a long staple length Waterfortheroad.combine to produce a strong and luscious fiber with a gorgeous drape.  No wonder this fiber is beloved by knitters!  Available in five festive colors.

Our complimentary pattern is the Polish Pomeranian Pulse Protectors – simple enough for a new knitter, with a choice of edgings to make things interesting.

And if you arrive all parched from the road, refresh yourself with a special bottle of water.  (Karen says it's Polish crystal – plastic).

ShophopcharmsWhen you bring in a food shelf donation, you will receive a special charm.  Ours is a keychain with keys – as in the keys to the yarn cupboard.  Each participating shop will be offering a different charm – collect them all!

Visit the Shop Hop website for maps, directions, details about prizes and to print out your very own passport!
