Here is our version of the Crochet Linen Stitch Scarf which is a free download from Churchmouse. This is a perfect project to learn to crochet as it has only the chain stitch and single crochet. It is easily adaptable to any size yarn and would make a lovely blanket out of you worsted weight leftovers. Stop in and see ours.
Now that my grandson is getting a new sibling, he has graduated out of the crib into a bed. He is also turning three at the end of the month, so part of his birthday present will be a new blanket out of Swan’s Island luxurious organic merino yarn. It’s a pricey project, but definitely an heirloom. It is on display until March 25th.
Doesn't this look like a lovely piece of weaving?
In fact it's a simple piece of knitting — with three different colors of Koigu!
It's the Linen Stitch Scarf from an excellent new pattern supplier: Churchmouse.
This design is fun to knit, is reversible, soft and makes just a terrific final product. It works for men or women and is really the ultimate stash-buster – you can use as many different colors as you want – and every scarf is a designer wonder — one-of-a-kind!
We love this one!
