Encore worsted has been restocked. Doesn’t it look beautiful? This yarn works so well for items that need to be washed dried in the machine. It has the feel of soft wool and the care of acrylic. Baby blankets and afghans area favorites. It’s also a prime yarn for kid and baby items.
The polar plunge really was really getting us down… until our latest sock yarn addition arrived — Neon Now from Plymouth Yarns! Maybe a couple of the dye lots will help you remember the ’80s (fondly, we hope)…
OOPS!!! I got this post wrong — it’s not Cascade 220 — it’s Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash — probably not a big deal unless you’re looking for specific color numbers! Apologies and slap me with wet yarn. (and we have more colors now).
Two seemingly innocuous swatches.
Except … one has been machine washed five times.
I can’t tell the difference — and if you touch them, you don’t get any clues that way either.
Even better — it’s 100% wool, comes in lots of colors, and is very reasonably priced.
It’s the new superwash version of Cascade 220 Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash — we only have 12 colors in so far, but we are looking forward to a fabulous new basic yarn option — great quality, excellent color choices, quickly restocked, reasonably priced — and now washable!
